Medical Laboratory Week 2025, taking place from April 13 to 19, is dedicated to honoring the work of medical laboratory professionals who support health and well-being from the very first days of life through every stage that follows. This year's theme, "Testing Through Every Stage of Life," hopes to educate the government, media, allied healthcare partners, and the public that lab professionals test for thousands of diseases and disorders that occur throughout our life. The lab is with us, every step of the way.

From newborn screening tests that detect critical conditions in infants to prenatal tests that support healthy pregnancies, routine checkups in kids and young adults, chronic disease management for middle-aged patients, and complex diagnostics for seniors, laboratory testing is woven into the health journey of every individual. Medical laboratory professionals provide essential services to the healthcare system, working behind the scenes to process and analyze the test results that shape patient care and medical decision-making.

Throughout this week, we recognize and thank the laboratory professionals who commit their knowledge, precision, and care to safeguard health in our communities, ensuring that no matter your age or stage in life, there’s a team dedicated to your health.
